Returns the protocol component of the URL associated with the element. Windows and Macintosh versions return values in different formats. For the Windows version, the values are in expanded plain language (e.g., File Protocol or HyperText Transfer Protocol); for the Mac version, values resemble location.protocol values (e.g., file: or http:). Unreliable in IE 4 for Windows.
