These two properties of DEL are listed among the shared properties earlier due to an IE 6 implementation oddity. IE 5/Macintosh and Netscape 6 correctly implement these properties only for the del and ins objects, as specified in the W3C DOM, but in no mainstream browser do they convey any special powers.
