This property (along with dateTime) is shared among all phrase element objects in IE 6, but in truth, it officially belongs only to the blockquote, quote, del, and ins element objects. Because the property is shared by four objects, Microsoft may have found it more convenient to implement the property internally for a larger related set of HTML element objects. Or it may be a mistake. Whatever the reason, do not expect this property in as many element objects as IE 6 exposes.
